Get involved - restaurants, cafes and canteens

Working together for a future full of fish

Restaurants, cafes and canteens can help reward and celebrate MSC certified fisheries by promoting and serving MSC certified seafood on the Sustainable Seafood Day, March 16.

It's easy to take part in Sustainable Seafood Day

Showing your support for sustainabe fishing practices is as easy as putting MSC certified products on the menu on the day!

We will provide all you need to know in terms of sourcing certified seafood, and also marketing materials including posters, table talkers, bill cards and stickers for the day’s festivities.  We will also help to make your Sustainable Seafood Day event a success by promoting your participation on the website and via traditional and social media.

Sustainable Seafood Day is the one day of the year that restaurants, cafés and food service providers can participate in the MSC program without having to obtain a Chain of Custody certificate.  To participate, all you have to do is sign an agreement outlining how the MSC ecolabel can be displayed on the day, and covering the necessary steps for ensuring that the seafood products served on the day are indeed from an MSC certified fishery.
