Basque company Pescafria-Pesquera Rodríguez SA first Spanish fishery to obtain MSC certification for sustainable fishing

The Marine Stewardship Council[1] today announced that Pescafria-Pesquera Rodríguez has been awarded MSC sustainable fishing certification, making PESCAFRIA the first Spanish fishery and the first European Union Barents Sea cod fishery to be awarded this distinction.

Flatfish Limited, Grimsby has worked together with Jubilee Company Limited and Grimsby Fish Market to secure Marine Stewardship Council certification to become the first suppliers of MSC certified North Sea Plaice to the UK market.
