The MSC Principles and Criteria for Sustainable Fishing were developed following an international consultation with stakeholders around the world. These Ps and Cs, otherwise known as the MSC’s fishery standard, are based on the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and other international conservation instruments and reflect the results of eight regional workshops and two expert drafting sessions.
