3. Draft TAB-Directive – ‘MSC request for records of certified material’
Consultation dates: 6-20 March 2009
Please submit your comments to Evi Mateboer, MSC Standards and Licensing Team – Supply Chain Manager, at: evi.mateboer@msc.org.
We are inviting comments on a draft TAB Directive where the MSC requests for records of certified material from Chain of Custody certificate holders in order to carry out traceback activities. The recent feedback from the MSC Traceback project identified lack of Chain of Custody certificate holder cooperation as a significant obstacle in achieving successful project outcomes. The draft TAB Directive sets out a set of requirements for improving the success of future traceback exercises. An introduction, information on the consultation process and timelines for approval and implementation are described in the attached paper.
We kindly request that you to send us your comments on selected parts of the draft TAB Directive. The comments should make specific references to sections or clauses in the proposed TAB Directive to enable us to best consider them.
The draft version of the TAB Directive, and more details on the consultation, timings, and history are available at Consultation: Draft TAB Directive - MSC request for records of certified material.
