In March 2007 the Skoll Foundation named MSC's CEO Rupert Howes “Social Entrepreneur of the Year”. The Skoll Foundation describe social entrepreneurs as people who apply innovative solutions to social and environmental issues, empowering people and communities to envision and create positive change. 

The Skoll Foundation produced several 7-minute videos profiling Skoll entrepreneurs, including this one of Rupert Howes and the MSC.

•   Buy certified sustainable seafood - Find shops and restaurants selling MSC-labelled seafood in your country

•   If you are a fishery or business that sells seafood, show your commitment to sustainable practices by getting MSC certified
