You, the stakeholder, are a primary source of information needed by the assessment team in conducting a meaningful assessment.  Whether you are a a scientist, fishery manager, community group  or conservation organization representative, your information could help to enable a thorough assessment of the performance of the fishery in relation to the MSC Standard. Your input is vital to:

• ensure that issues important to you and/or your organisation are taken into consideration in the assessment;
• ensure a well-informed and thorough certification assessment;
• ensure that the outcome of the assessment is consistent with the MSC Standard; and thereby to
• strengthen stakeholder support for both the result obtained in this fishery and for the overall MSC certification programme.
