Job title: Fisheries Outreach Manager, Scandinavia and Baltic Sea Region
Place of work: Copenhagen (Denmark)
Working time: full time; 40 hours per week

We are looking for a Fisheries Outreach Manager who can lead on delivering the MSC’s over-arching aims and objectives in the Scandinavia and Baltic Sea Region. You’ll be responsible for promoting the MSC brand and increasing support for the program across interest groups, mainly focusing on our fisheries clients engaged in the MSC-program. 

Who are you?

To be successful on this role you will:

  • Be qualified to degree level or equivalent in fisheries science or fisheries management; 
  • Have demonstrable experience working in the fisheries sector - in fisheries management, the supply chain, research, or public affairs;
  • Have demonstrable knowledge of fisheries and sustainable management of natural resources, in particular for wild fish and/or the fishing industry;
  • Have knowledge of the MSC standards and a network within the fishing industry will be an advantage.

Over 400 fisheries around the world, representing 16% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC program and over 1200 documented improvements to the way our oceans are being fished have been recorded. MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 100 countries.
