The use of the MSC’s trademarks is strictly governed by a number of regulations and standards and this work, together with the task of collecting royalty payments, is conducted by the MSCI Licensing team.  This department also performs these same licensing duties on behalf of an external organisation: The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) for use of their logo relating to products from responsible fish farms. Both organisations have experienced sustained growth across the globe and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Label Licensing Officer within the MSCI Licencing team to manage accounts based mainly in Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of requests for use of the MSC and ASC consumer labels, and financial statements.  The post holder will also be involved in developing and communicating policies and procedures to both internal and external clients.

The Label Licensing team work closely with our Commercial outreach teams across global and regional offices, communicating with them as required to discuss and resolve licensing and commercial issues. The role will also involve building relationships with customers.

Critically, other fisheries are incentivised to improve their performance to meet the growing demand for certified sustainable and traceable seafood choice. Over 400 fisheries around the world, representing 17% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC program and over 1200 documented improvements to the way our oceans are being fished have been recorded. MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 100 countries. 

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated individual with experience of working directly with customers whilst ensuring a high level of attention to detail with administration including well developed IT skills and experience of data processing within your portfolio of clients.

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Dutch or French (spoken and written); Flemish and any additional languages are a benefit.
