Label Licensing Officer, Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH)

Responsible for our ecolabel approval and protection in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

The use of the MSC's trademarks is strictly governed by a number of regulations and standards and this work, together with the task of collecting royalty payments, is conducted by the MSCI Licensing team. This department also performs these same licensing duties on behalf of an external organisation: the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) for use of their logo relating to products from responsible fish farms. Both organisations have experienced sustained growth across the globe and we now have an exciting opportunity within the MSCI Licensing team to manage accounts mainly based in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) region.

The post holder will be responsible for our ecolabel approval and protection in Germany, Austria and Switzerland but also in other regions when required or assigned. The role will involve processing requests for use of the MSC ecolabel, and financial statements. The post holder will also be involved in developing and communicating policies and procedures to both internal and external clients.

Our team members work closely with commercial staff in our regional offices, communicating with them as required to discuss and resolve licensing and commercial issues. The role will also involve building relationships with customers and some travel may be necessary.

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and German (spoken and written) additional languages would be a benefit.

Who are we?

The MSC's vision is for the world's oceans to be teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for this and future generations.  Through our internationally recognised certification and ecolabeling programme well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded in the market place, through the leadership of our partners.  Critically, other fisheries are incentivised to improve their performance to meet the growing demand for certified sustainable and traceable seafood choice. Over 400 fisheries around the world, representing 16% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC programme and over 1200 documented improvements to the way our oceans are being fished have been recorded. MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 100 countries.
