Job Title: Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, China

Location: Beijing, China

Working Hours: 9:30am – 6:00pm

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Communications Manager, who can lead on delivering the MSC’s over-arching aims and objectives in China. You’ll be responsible for the marketing and communications program in China, helping to promote the MSC brand and mobilise development of the China program with support from a broad range of stakeholders, including fisheries, government representatives, retailers and partners in the NGO community.

 

Who are you?

You will:

Have extensive knowledge and practical experience of brand, marketing, creative and communications industries, with existing contacts and networks highly desirable

  • Have extensive experience in developing and delivering innovative and integrated consumer campaigns across the full range of communications channels, including all forms of electronic media
  • Be a strategic thinker and planner, able to grasp complex and intellectually challenging ideas and communicate them to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership, influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skills and an ability to work as part of a team to deliver complex projects
  • Be an excellent project/program manager with strong skills in work planning, personal organisation and time management skills.

The MSC’s vision is for the world’s oceans to be teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for this and future generations. Through our internationally-recognised certification and ecolabeling programme well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded in the market place, through the leadership of our partners. Critically, other fisheries are incentivised to improve their performance to meet the growing demand for certified sustainable and traceable seafood choice. Over 400 fisheries around the world, representing 16% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC programme and over 1200 documented improvements to the way our oceans are being fished have been recorded. MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 100 countries.
