Chain of Custody certification scheme documents

The MSC controls and updates the following Chain of Custody (CoC) certification scheme documents for reference by CoC-certificate holders, Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) and Accreditation Services International (ASI).

Chain of Custody Standard

The MSC Chain of Custody Standard consists of one main (Default) version along with Group and Consumer-Facing organisations versions:

  • Chain of Custody Standard: Default Version

Description: The standard is intended to be used for certification of seafood supply chain organisations with single or multi-site operations, trading MSC certified seafood.

  • Chain of Custody Standard: Group Version

Current version:
Version 1.0 | Issued: 20 February 2015 | Effective: 1 September 2015 (PDF, 142 KB) Description: The standard is intended to be used for certification of seafood supply chain organisations with a central office function and many locations trading MSC certified seafood. The requirements for group clients were previously documented under Chain of Custody Requirements for clients.

  • Chain of Custody Standard: Consumer-Facing Organisation Version
