Research and key documents

Over the 17 years since its inception in 1999, the MSC has periodically released studies of the performance of MSC certified fisheries, and the environmental improvements generated by the fisheries.

Since the establishment of the Monitoring and Evaluation program in 2012, the annual Global Impacts Report has built on these precursors, using indicators for both program performance and program strategy.

MSC Global Impacts Reports

The annual Global Impacts Report documents the impacts MSC has on its certification and ecolabelling program. It quantitatively monitors and evaluates the MSC's environmental and organisational performance.MSC Global Impacts Report 2017 cover image
