20年来，海洋管理委员会与科学家、消费者以及行业人士共同努力，推动海洋渔业的可持续发展。
自我们1997年成立以来，目前全球野生捕捞渔业产量的约12%获得了MSC渔业认证。MSC认证有助于实现渔业资源可持续利用并鼓励更多的渔业参与到MSC项目中。
为了持续地获得MSC认证，全球渔业迄今已经作出超过1,200项涉及捕捞作业方式和渔业管理的改进。
