Fun recipes to make with kids at home

Cooking is a great way for people of all ages to learn about where food comes from and how it was caught. We've prepared some simple and fun recipes to try at home.

Ingredients

Method

  • 50 g prawns/shrimp (MSC or ASC certified)
  • 6 slices of toasted bread
  • 1/2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 halved sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 tsp parsley, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper

When shopping for sustainable seafood, look for the MSC blue fish tick label to be sure.

The MSC blue fish tick

  1. Mix the prawns/shrimp, mayonnaise, sun-dried tomatoes and parsley in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cut out six fish shapes from the slices of toasted bread. If you have one, you can instead use a fish-shaped cookie cutter.
  3. Place a black sesame seed as the eye on each fish shape.
  4. Use the fish shaped toasted bread to make shrimp salad sandwiches.
