AGRIOS
Seafood should be something families feel proud to serve, food that tastes incredible and helps protect the ocean our children will inherit.
But finding wild caught Australian seafood in supermarkets shouldn’t feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. That’s why AGRIOS was created.
Through our Unleash the Wild campaign, we’ve brought premium Australian MSC-certified wild caught prawns directly to everyday consumers, making sustainable seafood an easy, trusted choice at the dinner table.
Our prawns come from responsibly managed Australian fisheries where healthy fish stocks and marine life are protected for future generations. We know families need more than a label, so we’ve explained what MSC certification means in simple terms, shared stories from the real fishers who care for the ocean, and created quick, family-friendly recipes that make cooking wild seafood stress-free.
We’ve helped people move from “Is this really sustainable?” to “What are we making tonight?”
Voting for AGRIOS supports Australian fishing families, healthier oceans and a future where choosing sustainable seafood is simple, affordable and part of everyday life. And we’re just getting started.
Blue Wave
Our mission is to empower customers and their communities by providing sustainable, reliable and innovative seafood solutions that align with their needs and values.
The range launched in July 2024, targeting wholesalers supplying pubs, clubs, restaurants and local fish and chip shops. This supports customers who want to promote sustainable seafood on their menus and to their diners, while demonstrating KB Seafood Company’s commitment to sustainability across the markets in which we operate.
Our future is grounded in innovation and sustainability. We are committed to expanding eco-friendly products and, where possible, transitioning from responsibly sourced claims to industry-leading ecolabels such as the MSC, with the goal of becoming fully MSC-certified over time.
We have also invested heavily in our digital presence and launched the range at the Fine Food Show in Melbourne in 2024, returning in 2025 at the Sydney Fine Food Show to engage directly with customers through meetings, conversations and product sampling.
John West
Trace Your Tuna gives Australians clear, instant and trustworthy information about what’s in every can of John West tuna. By scanning the on-pack QR code, shoppers can see the species, where and how it was caught, the role of independent observers and its MSC certification status in seconds. It cuts through vague claims in a crowded aisle, turning good intentions into confident, informed choices.
John West was the first mainstream canned tuna brand in Australia to achieve MSC certification across its range in 2012. Today, Australians buy around 100 million cans of John West MSC-certified tuna each year, showing that when sustainability is transparent and easy to understand, shoppers respond.
In partnership with Pacifical, John West has taken traceability further, becoming the first tuna brand globally to exchange verified sustainability and social data for every production code using the GDST protocol. This ensures Trace Your Tuna is continually updated, independently verified and genuinely trustworthy.
By raising the bar for transparency, Trace Your Tuna empowers consumers with clarity, credible proof and engaging education, helping make responsible seafood choices easier for every household while driving positive change across the tuna category.
Little Tuna
Little Tuna is Australia’s only Australian caught, owned and made preserved tuna brand with MSC certification. Created to support Australian fishing families, make Australian tuna accessible to more Australians and help shape a better future for our fisheries. Little Tuna is built on trust, traceability and pride.
With the launch of our new tinned range, we’re bringing sustainably sourced Australian tuna to more Australians at a affordable price point without losing the values that built our community. Our tins empower Australians to choose 100% Australian, line-caught, MSC-certified albacore while Little Tuna continues to lead the story.
We are educating, building trust and growing pride in Australia’s sustainable fishing industry through:
- Traceability – QR codes on every tin and our Meet-the-Fishers campaign.
- Transparency – “Tin-the-Know” myth-buster series supporting informed choices.
- Connectivity – an online movement engaging Australians in the story behind their seafood.
Little Tuna’s leadership is independently recognised, named in the top tier of national greenwashing assessments for clear, honest labelling. By connecting Australians directly to the people behind their seafood, Little Tuna is proving that sustainable choices can be transparent, trusted and proudly Australian.
Walker's Tuna
We are an Australian family owned and operated fishing business and we were the first tuna company in Australia to gain MSC certification for our Yellowfin and Albacore Tuna.
Our vessels catch our own high grade, export quality Albacore tuna for our products and preserve them in only the highest quality Australian Cold Pressed Olive Oil.At Walker’s Tuna, our mission is to protect the ocean while bringing responsibly sourced, high-quality Australian tuna to every table.
The public should consider us for this award because sustainability is at the core of who we are, not just in our products, but in how we connect with and educate our consumers.
Every product bearing the MSC blue fish tick label gives assurance our tuna is traceable, responsibly caught, and supports thriving marine ecosystems. We were recently voted number one tuna brand in supermarkets by the Delicious team.
We’ve turned our social media, especially Instagram, into an education platform that makes sustainable fishing accessible and engaging. Our posts, videos, and stories highlight how choosing MSC-certified tuna protects ocean life, supports fishing communities, and preserves marine biodiversity.
Looking ahead, Walker’s Tuna will continue to expand our digital education, enhance traceability through innovation, and deepen partnerships that empower all consumers to choose sustainability and protect Life Below Water.
