Despite how the flavor sounds, Phish Food is in fact made with tasty fudge fish, not actual seafood.

But we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off Earth Month than collaborating with Ben & Jerry’s on this April Fools’ Day joke

We were thrilled to work with Ben and Jerry’s on this because we at the MSC also appreciate thoughtful ingredients, love Ph/fish, and believe little actions can make a big difference.

The small act of reading ingredients and checking for certification labels that make a difference – whether that’s the MSC label on certified sustainable seafood products MSC or the Fairtrade certification label on Ben & Jerry's ice cream, we can all choose (Ph)fish products that build a better future for our planet.

So, while you can’t find our blue fish label on ice cream, there are a few unexpected places you could look for it! Of course, if you love seafood, it’s easy to find in fresh, frozen, and canned aisle of your local grocery store. But even if you’re not a big seafood eater, odds are there’s at least one product in the marketplace that might meet your needs, so everyone can contribute to a healthy ocean and certified sustainable fishing practices.

Pearls

Did you know that pearls are the only gems produced by a living creature? That means it’s extra important to harvest them carefully. Thanks to the hard work of the fishers at the Australia silver-lipped pearl oyster fishery, you can find pearls that are MSC certified sustainable

Were you hoping for edible pearls? May we suggest checking out this amazing faux caviar, Herring Pearls, from our friends in the UK?!

The Jungle Book

Okay, okay a movie can’t be certified, but Baloo’s got his very own Table Scraps from Disney, so your dog can enjoy tasty MSC certified salmon treats! There are tons of other options for your pets to get the benefits of healthy seafood while lowering your households carbon footprint, from meal toppers and fish oils, to MSC certified kibble.
