What is World Ocean Day?

World Ocean Day on June 8th was adopted by the UN General Assembly as a day to celebrate our shared connection to the ocean. Since then, it has become a global moment in the calendar for ocean advocates: consumers, NGOs, businesses, scientists and many high-profile champions to highlight their commitment to the ocean.

Save the date: Join our campaign on June 8th

World Ocean Day is our moment to show how sustainable fishing plays a vital role in protecting our ocean.

This hub is your gateway to joining the campaign, spreading the word, and showcasing your commitment to sustainable fishing. Together, we can help ensure more fish, more colour, more choice and more life in the ocean - not just for today but for tomorrow, too.
