These premium Anchovy Fillets from the Cantabrian Sea are hand-packed in olive oil and presented in a round tin, perfect for sharing and convivial moments. Sourced exclusively from MSC-certified fisheries in the Northeast Atlantic (FAO 27), the anchovies are caught using traditional purse seine methods during peak season to ensure maximum freshness. Carefully selected for their large size, the fillets undergo a double manual cleaning process and are processed and matured using artisanal techniques that preserve their rich flavour and delicate texture. The entire supply chain is fully traceable, from sea to shelf.

Co-op Cooked Mussels White Wine Sauce
Ready-to-eat mussels in a light white wine sauce, cooked for convenience and full of flavour. Tender and juicy, they work well as a starter or part of a simple meal. Our mussels are sourced from MSC-certified fisheries in Scotland, with full traceability back to source. They are supplied by a co-operative of Scottish shellfish farmers, producing mussels in the clean coastal waters of the west coast and Shetland.

Grown on ropes in the sea, they require no additional feed, making them a low-impact seafood choice. Rockfish Sardine Pate
Fish pâtés are hugely popular in Spain and Portugal but no one has created a similar product in the UK. We set about making one using beautiful sardines caught by skipper Tom Pascoe in Mount's Bay. Mitch Tonks developed the pure fish recipe with spices, tomato paste and a little chilli, then took it to Asturias, simply because the Spanish do it best! Viejo el Pescador is a small artisan canner where everything is done by hand, from cooking to canning. The result is an omega-3 rich pâté that's delicious on toast, in sandwiches, or with onions, capers and salad.

Stocks are carefully managed and MSC certified. Waitrose No.1 Cantabrian Anchovy Fillets in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Our No. 1 Cantabrian Anchovy Fillets are caught in the Cantabrian Sea in the Bay of Biscay. This MSC-certified fishery is renowned for top quality anchovies. They are matured for at least nine months to bring out their intense, rich flavour, then filleted by hand and packed in extra virgin olive oil. Delicious in a classic puttanesca sauce, with tomatoes, black olives and plenty of garlic.

This MSC fishery was certified sustainable for a third time in 2025. From a sustainability standpoint, anchovies are an ideal choice; they reproduce quickly, occupy a low position in the food chain, and their shoaling behaviour results in both lower bycatch and carbon footprint.
