The Recertification Assistance Fund rewards fisheries that have shown a substantial commitment to the MSC program and sustainability.
The fund helps MSC certified fisheries with the cost of Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) fees for their second or subsequent recertification audit.
Recertification Assistance Fund grants are calculated in proportion to the applicant's audit fee costs.
MSC certified fisheries can apply for funding after the Public Certification Report (PCR) of their second or subsequent recertification is published.
Applicants must be able to accept the Ocean Stewardship Fund Privacy Policy.
The maximum recertification grant will be limited to whichever is lowest:
The fund will not fund any costs related to surveillance audits or objections procedures.
Completed application forms and supporting documents should be sent via email to OSF@msc.org within 12 months of the publication of the Public Certification Report (PCR) for their second or subsequent recertification.
The Ocean Stewardship Fund offers grants to both MSC certified sustainable fisheries and improving fisheries.
The Science and Research Fund provides grants of up to £50,000 to support research projects that help fisheries meet and maintain sustainability best practice.
Fish for Good is a four-year project aiming to guide fisheries in Indonesia, Mexico and South Africa on their journey towards sustainability.
