Astronaut André Kuipers promotes MSC certified wild Alaska salmon from space

Dutch astronaut André Kuipers onboard the International Space Station (ISS) posted this photo of a floating can of MSC certified Alaska salmon to Flickr.com with the message:

“Lots of ocean, but there's still overfishing and destruction of marine life. Sustainable fish is an alternative. Even in space we eat MSC-certified fish.”

André also writes about eating MSC certified sustainable fish in his blog, saying:

“Talking of fish, I received a large supply of MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certified fish in my bonus container. Even in space it is possible to eat sustainable fish. The oceans are large, even when seen from space, but many species of fish are still overfished. We must be careful with our planet and its limited resources.”
