On May 21, MSC’s Standards Director, Dr. David Agnew, spoke to approximately 50 students and faculty of the University of Washington, as well as scientists and members of the seafood industry in the Seattle area. His presentation entitled “Defining a standard for sustainable fishing – an impossible task in a changing world?” provided an overview of the MSC program and the Fishery Standard Review (FSR) currently underway. The talk was followed by a Q&A session and reception.
