World Ocean Day on June 8th was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2008 as “a day to celebrate our shared Ocean, our connection to the sea and the way that people can protect it.” Since then, it has become global moment in the calendar for ocean advocates: consumers, Ocean NGOs, businesses, scientists and many high-profile champions to highlight their commitment to the Ocean.
