The rise of the conscious consumer: a business risk or opportunity?

Generation Z, the vegan challenge and sustainable fishing: Where to next for the seafood industry?

With millennials eating less fish and increasing interest in meat-free protein, we'll hear from fishery, retail and consumer experts on the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

We will discuss:

  • How are these trends affecting the seafood industry?
  • Can fisheries meet demand for sustainable, responsible products?
  • Who should pay for delivering this change?
  • And what roles does certification have to play?

Additional points covered:

  • An update on the MSC and our priorities for the year ahead
  • The latest insights from the MSC's new global consumer perceptions research
  • Insights from the panel including retail, fisheries and brand experts

The discussion will be moderated by Natasja van den Berg, Dutch author and board member of the Dutch fair trade association.

Speakers and panellists to be announced.
