The UK retail sector continues to demonstrate global leadership in its commitment to sourcing and selling certified sustainable seafood.

  • Shoppers spent £1.7 billion on 189,000 tonnes of MSC-certified fish and seafood products, a 14% rise from 2023/24
  • MSC labelled products accounted for an estimated 65% of the value and 63% of the volume of all wild caught fish and seafood sold in UK retail
